Wildlife and Nature
- The kids will absolutely love meeting the crew at Rockhampton Zoo. Mischievous meerkats, cheeky chimps and all your Australian favs can be found around every corner of the zoo giving plenty of opportunity for unforgettable photos! - If the kids are still buzzing with energy, an exciting adventure playground lays in waiting right next door at the Botanic Gardens. 'Ernie' the Dingo (a giant playground installation) is always up for play time! Relax and unwind in the picnic shelter, under the shade of the beautiful landscaped gardens or under the 150 year old Banyan Figs and grab a bite to eat and some refreshments from the Garden Tearooms while you admire their vast collection of souvenirs.
- Top off the day with a relaxing and picturesque stroll among the treetops of Mount Archer (Nurim) National Park at sunset and don't forget your camera for the perfect family photo!
