Radiance Light Show (29th November - 24th December): Get your family into the festive spirit with the stunning Radiance Light Show at the Rockhampton Botanic Gardens. This annual event transforms the gardens into a glowing wonderland of twinkling lights and festive displays. It's a magical experience for kids and parents alike, perfect for making holiday memories together.

Kershaw Gardens Water Play Area: Beat the summer heat by spending the day at Kershaw Gardens. Rockynats (4th - 6th April): Get ready for one of the most exciting automotive festivals in Queensland! Rockynats brings the streets of Rockhampton to life with show-stopping car displays, burnout competitions, street drags, and much more. Car-loving kids and parents alike will be thrilled by the roaring engines, flash cars and plenty of off-the-track entertainment, making it an unforgettable experience.

Mt Archer National Park: If your family is up for an adventure, autumn is the perfect time to hike or have a picnic at Mount Archer National Park. The cooler weather makes it ideal for exploring the park's trails, which offer stunning views of the city and surrounding landscape. Don't forget to visit the Nurim Circuit Elevated Boardwalk, a short 500m flat treetop walk with stunning panoramic views over the city! Winter in Rockhampton brings a blend of cultural celebrations, exciting festivals, and agricultural shows, making it truly the events capital of CQ.

The Rocky Show (12th - 13th June): One of Rockhampton's most beloved traditions, The Rockhampton Agricultural Show, is an annual family-friendly extravaganza. Kids will be delighted by the rides, animal exhibitions, show bags, fireworks, and good old-fashioned show fun, while parents can enjoy the local food stalls and entertainment.
