Strike Gold in Mount Morgan

Load up the car, take in spectacular scenery and strike it rich - fossicking is now permitted at Mount Morgan No 7 Dam.

Rockhampton Regional Council and Advance Rockhampton have developed a General Permission Area (GPA) to allow recreational fossicking in a designated area around No 7 Dam. All fossickers must ensure they have a valid licence and comply with the rules and regulations associated with that permit. Signage has also been installed at No 7 Dam to reinforce key rules.

Please remember, you are responsible for your own safety and compliance with relevant legislation and Rockhampton Regional Council local laws.
