On arrival, the entrance and reception area is spacious and easy to traverse when checking in. While the check-in desk is tall, the staff are more than accommodating to assist. When directed to the basement car park, the accessible parking options are numerous and close to the elevators for hassle-free carriage of luggage, and easy coming and going from the venue throughout your stay. 

Movement throughout Rockhampton’s largest hotel venue is aided by carpeted interiors with tight-weave or interior and exterior tiled areas. This includes the accessible gymnasium and pool area which can be accessed at level 1 and then by an additional standard-gradient ramp. The gymnasium has a versatile cable machine with a free and adjustable bench to complete a range of upper body exercises and a large, carpeted area for daily stretching. The pool area is tiled, and non-slip for safe movement in this area, and there is a hoist available on request to assist with water entry/exit.  If you’re able to transfer with or without assistance, the pool area is expansive so plenty of room to leave your mobility equipment beside the pool.

Upon checking in to Quest, access to the front of the building is by ramp access. However accessible car parking options prior to checking in are limited, with street parking only. Once checked in, accessible parking is at the rear of the building via laneway entrance, and this takes you directly to the reception/elevator area.

Also, easy access through the corridors to the rooms with tight-weave carpeting. The accessible rooms are studio style with a large bathroom fitted with folding shower seat. If more flexible bathroom options are available to you, the larger single bedroom units are a relaxing and comfortable stay.

Entrance into the room is step-free from the car park and the accessible room has a designated accessible parking.

Reception is accessible through the side entrance and adjacent to the accessible room. The size of the rooms are what you’d expect in a motel, however the room has a spacious bathroom with stable folding shower seat facilities and close proximity to coffee and restaurants in central Rockhampton. The bedding in the room is simple and comfortable, however the walls of the mattresses could be firmer to assist with safe transfers. If bringing your own bedding and/or hosts, the manager is open and accommodating for additional access needs.

The venue also offers a delicious breakfast and coffee available for room service in the morning from the café across the road. Dine in is also available at the same café for breakfast with access via the back of the venue.
