Ready for a fishing adventure with a twist? Rocky's Ultimate Cash Catch is calling all anglers to the famous Fitzroy River. This fishing competition puts the spotlight on one of our local stars - the threadfin salmon - and gives you the chance to land some impressive prizes along the way.

What's the Catch?

Here's why you'll want to get your line in the water:

The Big One: Hook a tagged threadfin salmon between 1 November 2024 and 31 January 2025, and you'll net yourself a cool $10,000.

Didn't strike gold? No worries - if no one claims the main prize, it doubles to $20,000 in 2025.

Off-season bonus: Catch a tagged fish between 1 February and 1 November 2025, and you'll reel in a $2,500 prize package from our mates at Barra Jacks.

How to Get Involved

1. Pop over to frenchvillesportsclub.com.au and register for free.
2. Grab your gear and head to the Fitzroy - there are 25 tagged threadies swimming about.
3. Lucky enough to catch a tagged fish? Follow the instructions provided to claim your prize.

More Chances to Win

Even if the tagged fish are playing hard to get, you're still in with a chance. Everyone who registers goes into the draw for a $1,000 Barra Jacks prize package, to be drawn on 31 October 2025.

Why Threadfin Salmon?

We all know the Fitzroy's famous for its barra, but the threadfin salmon deserves some love too. These hard-fighting fish offer great sport outside of barra season, making Fishing the Fitzroy a year-round affair.
